Electric Meter Panel

Meter panels are cabinets where electricity and gas meters are mounted. They are suitable for both flush-mounted (recessed) and surface-mounted installation, and are specially manufactured for each building. Main options include:

  • Single-phase
  • Three-phase
  • Electric
  • Combi

They may also include options for stairwell lighting switches and doorbell transformers. While generally designed for multiple meters, single-meter options are also available. Single-phase panels are for single-phase meters, three-phase panels are for three-phase meters, and combined models are also produced. All are manufactured with custom dimensions according to requirements.

What Is the Purpose of Meter Panels?

Meter panels are used to protect meters from external factors. Exposed meters can easily be damaged, so panels ensure safety. They also allow meters to be organized neatly in one place. Installation is quick and simple, requiring only screws and blind nuts. Automatic breaker rails are also included, eliminating the need for additional panels.

What Are the Types of Meter Panels?

Meter panel types are designed to house both single-phase and three-phase meters. They are custom-made according to the building’s specifications, and the number of meters can vary. Panels are available for flush-mounted, surface-mounted, or outdoor use. They can hold single, double, triple, quadruple, quintuple, or even more meters. In some cases, sealing may be required due to opening, closing, or faulty use.

Features of Meter Panels

Meter panels have insulated surfaces, preventing the conduction of electricity even in the case of faulty wiring or leakage. They are made of polycarbonate material, making them resistant to external factors. They are non-flammable, and in case of fire, flames self-extinguish on the surface, ensuring fire safety.

They require no maintenance or painting. Inside the body, there is a transparent thermoplastic partition with slots where meters are mounted. With their durable structure, they provide long-lasting use.

Where Can Meter Panels Be Used?

Wherever electricity is used, meter panels are required. They are used in hospitals, schools, accommodation facilities, apartment buildings, and all other structures to protect meters. Thus, meters are safeguarded, and electrical leakage risks are minimized. Thanks to their strong build, they operate reliably for many years.

Meter panel prices vary depending on the place of use and the number of meters. The size of the panel, additional functions, and model also affect the price.

How Are Meter Panels Manufactured?

Although meters in buildings may vary in size, they are generally small. Inside a panel, the following components are included:

  • Fuses
  • Stairwell lighting timer
  • Doorbell transformer
  • Main automatic breaker

Meter panels are manufactured according to special requests. First, requirements are analyzed, and a digital design is created. Sheet cutting dimensions and drilling points are determined. Cutting and shaping are done by machine, then heat treatment is applied to achieve the required size. Panels are painted with electrostatic powder coating, covers are added, and they are prepared for installation.

What Should Be Included in a Meter Panel?

In addition to meters, meter panels may include various features. Modular panels can have a project pocket, lockable front door, and side sheets. Optional shelves, accessories, or transparent doors may also be added.

Flush-mounted, surface-mounted, and wall-type panels may include entry-exit brushes, mounting plates, cable holders, and project pockets. Panels must be regularly maintained. This is essential for human safety and occupational security. Properly maintained panels contribute to workplace safety, allow safe storage of facility equipment, and prevent malfunctions. As a result, both risks and costs are reduced.

Industrial panel systems play an important role in improving the efficiency, safety and reliability of modern industrial operations.
